This project aims to systematically measure and monitor the efficiency of primary border posts in the southern Africa region.

The monitoring exercise will lead to enhanced, evidence-based support for transit facilitation from the AfDB and other development partners. It will also lead to improvements in border management and border efficiency, resulting in increased intra-regional trade in goods and services, and enhanced international competitiveness of the region’s production.
